Closing Shop

After 3.5 yrs in the same location sadly Maher at JumboDonair will be closing his door. New owners will take over in the new yr and it’s unclear what will be in place once they take over.

We have frequented this business many times and become friends with Maher and his family. He gives everything he has to make his business successful but sadly his efforts haven’t been enough to keep the door open.

Go in and give what you can in these last few weeks to ensure that Maher will see how much he means to so many in this community. Most of all tell him thank you for all he does from his humble Donair shop…one customer at a time.

ANOTHER GREAT POST:  Shoutout to the City of Edmonton for Being so Beautiful, and to Alex Scuccato for Using His Skill to Show Off the City

It’s not just a business…it’s his way of giving back to the community. His heart and soul have made his restaurant the place it is. He will truly be missed when the door closes at the end of December.

“He had been thinking of selling his Donair shop due to a medical issue with his leg, but has decided to continue running it. He said he will likely need to hire more people.”

There is no denying that Maher is a nice guy but sometimes people are not cut out to run their own business. Other donair shops are surviving even without the added community support this fella has received. Perhaps, he is making the best decison for both his business and himself. He will land on his feet and he will continue to support the community albeit in different ways. All the best to him.
