Needing Help Figuring Out What is Biting Me at Night; Not Bed Bugs

Warning: Gross pic. Okay, need advice please. I live in the country. I have been getting bites since I moved here. There is no bed bugs here, but something is biting me. I’ve seen black ants and black spiders in the house but I vacuum the place continuously. I am asthmatic. One of our neighbour’s cats had fleas in the winter but I killed them off by vet and house treatment, and salt. Here’s the bite. Anyone know what could it be? Pretty gross. Happens sometimes when I’m sleeping and it hurts. I scream but never know what did it. When sleeping last night my leg. My bedding is always clean? One on my face and one on my arm. Only thing I’ve seen was a tiny hard red thing like a spider mite. Not a bed bug. If someone could help me on what is taking chunks out of me that’d be great.

  4. I work in Dermatology and that is not a flea bite or bed bugs (they bite in groups of 3). Probably a spider bite and it should be looked at and treated 🙂

  11. Have you been to the Dr? Try peppermint oil and research some other good essential oils. Most bugs don’t like peppermint, tea tree etc. See Dr first so they can figure things out

Spider bite. The bump is calcium. When they bite you they draw out the calcium, leaving behind a big, hard bump.

  14. That is just nasty. I would suggest getting mosquito netting and covering your entire bed area. People/ name calling is never helpful so grow up

Go to TNT market and by some chessnuts. Spiders do not like odour they produce. Under the bed they go. Would suggest a dozen at least.
