Do Not Blow Pot Smoke In My Face

To the woman with the funky color hair outside the cab company on 105 Ave and 114 Street. When you blow your majiuanna smoke at me again remember people are sensitive to the smells or don’t like the smell.

Do not snicker at me when I cover my face I don’t like the smell. You went back into the building before I could say anything. I am not against pot smoking. You want to smoke pot that’s is fine lots of people do it’s your life. There is a time and a place for it.

ANOTHER GREAT POST:  Venting About Oilfield Layoffs & Racism

Another occasion I was with my daughter the same woman and another woman with stringy hair in a car something pot in a car the had the windows open again you smell it a mile away. There are lots of people who don’t like the smell. As for the company I emailed them about this they did not get back to me.

Always show concideration for those around you . Be mindful of the fact that they may not smoke or choose not to smoke for personal reasons. This is the wrong approach to getting the public talking.

  2. While I do think it’s super rude to blow smoke of any kind in anyone’s face, (and it’s currently not legal to smoke weed), this time next year it will be legal. I hate the smell of exhaust in the winter, it triggers my asthma, but theres not much I can do about it besides avoid it the best I can (not always possible). There are some smells we just have to deal with. But man, blowing it your face…rude and immature.

Here’s a novel idea…how about holding your breath for the 10 seconds it takes to walk by her or walk on the other side of the road. What are you gonna do when it is legalized next year

  4. Sadly respect for others is gone and once it’s legal it’s only going to get worse. ( I have rights group ). Drive in the city and even now y can smell it in cars so legal or not people will do as they please. And as for the comment of hold your breath ? Seriously. Just be mindful of others. Oh right that was gone long ago.

I guess being mindful only applies to people who agree with you.

    • When you are smoking anything you are in control of where you blow the smoke. When you are walking by someone with a lung full of smoke you don’t necessarily know they have a lung full and are about to blow it out, now do you?
Common sense and respect are gone.

Perhaps you should wear a mask when out in public? You know…in case someone is smoking weed that you have no control over.

My guess is they don’t actually blow it in your face so much as blow it in the air and you feel like it’s in your face because you can smell it…I highly doubt the pot smokers are intentionally tormenting you however, If you feel they are, covering your face isn’t going to change that it smells, but it does give them a reaction. if they get a reaction out of you and then snicker like you say, it’s because this has become funny to them STOP covering your face and acting dramatic and they will likely stop snickering at you.

    My guess though:
These are people smoking pot minding their business. You say there is a time and place, and I agree but you gotta get used to it because it’s going to get worse when it’s legalized. The time and place will be anywhere any time.

It sucks you hate it, and you have to smell it, I just don’t think this one is going to get any better for you.

  9. Hey to the guy wearing the suit blowing smoke …. no it’s the girl with the “ funky hair colour “
Another time a woman in dress ….no,
It’s “ the woman with stringy hair “.
Seems to me your problem is with judgment of how people look more then anything.

  12. There’s a time and a place? Yeesh. Smoking medically prescribed cannabis is allowed anywhere that smoking is allowed. I doubt you’d complain if it were just cigarette smoke.

    [0]
    • *I should clarify; if you have a prescription for medical cannabis, it is allowed to be smoked where smoking is allowed.

    • Lol I have to say for some reason can ignore pot smoke outside. My partner has been smoking cigarettes since I met him and I still can’t stand that horrible cigarette smell lol, can never get use to it.

    • I too use miracle marijuana, I need to, to stay seizure free. But I too hide it, its just like this because we’re not use to it, it will change soon. At the same time I feel cigarette smokers like to “show off” so to speak. I want to hide mine lol.

    • The sad thing is most employers of have 0 tolerance policy with Medical Marijuana. Can’t smoke it work. I know my place of employment does. Medical or not.

    • I have heard that as well Hailey. There are also some places that don’t allow it on their property either, like stampede grounds in Calgary. It is unfortunate but hopefully it will all get sorted with legalization.

    • No one wants smoke blown in their face. How is this so totally overlooked? Wow.

      [0]
    • I do not agree with any type of smoke being blown in anyone’s face, I’m not sure how after reading that I literally hide to smoke you aren’t seeing that it isn’t being overlooked. The person that was smoking that day even posted her apology on this post…

  13. So someone should stop breathing for a moment for someone who is obviously rude?. The smoker should be moving elsewhere.

  15. I hate, i absolutely hate cigarette smoke, and HATE cigar smoke. Just the smell makes me feel like my throat is getting tighter. My partner has been smoking cigarettes the whole time I’ve known him and I hate it till this day. But I move along, there’s nothing I can do and I wouldn’t do anything because its not my place.

  17. Maybe when pot is legalized they will treating in the same way drinking on a public street is treated. Intoxication in a public place.

  18. Sounds like a personal problem u have I very much doubt that she blew it in ur face … and if she is legal that would be too bad for you have a great day ..

  19. Vaping, cigarette smoke, pot smoke lets try to be considerate of other people. Some of the scents for vaping can be nauseating for some people. It does not bother me but other people it does.

  20. Its not with problem how the person looks the person is telling the person to stop blowing smoke in their face. Smoking all you want if you see people move away or roll up the window. Simple.

  22. This post can be about anyone. It could be customers. It could be someone that had business with the company It said outside the company. Did the OP say parking lot. She clearly stated outside the company and there is public side walk there by the side of building. Lots of people have funky hair colors. Did the OP mention a hair color she said funky hair color. Lots people don’t feel like washy their hair that day so its going to look stringy.

    [0]
  23. After reading the comments its sounds like a person in general. People use common sense. No hair color was given it said funky hair color it could be bright ass pink. The OP stated outside there is street parking and a public side walk. Did the OP say on the property no they did not. The person could have went into the wrong door. Doors may not close properly sometimes. We have to buzz in at my place of work the door may not have closed properly. This person may have had business there had to come another day.

  26. How do you know this person wasn’t a medical marihuana patient? Maybe the employer let’s her medicate. So maybe it WAS the time and place.

  27. I read one comment about a personal problem its does not sound like that all someone saw someone smoking weed outside a business. The person went into the business. Nothing was mention on the business property or parking lot. As someone else stated the person may of went into the wrong door. It does happen. The OP said lady with funky hair color going into the building it can customer or someone who ha business in the building. She is saying don’t blow in her face. Lots of people have funky hair colors. It does not sound someone is getting singled out.

  28. To the OP that posted that was me. I do apologize for offending you. I was going there to see if my work keys were turned in. I was not laughing at you but a text on my phone. She saw me on the sidewalk. If you would have looked I went to the main doors. I saw front reception was busy so I decided to go another day have my mom drive me. We were parked on street. I am sorry if I offended any one. People are right I do need be considerate if people are on the side walk.

It’s sounds like the main point is you don’t have to be a douche when smoking. The smoker snickered when she saw the op cover her face. She plainly stated she doesn’t care about the weed just hates the smell.

It’s not an argument about hating on smokers the female just didn’t need to scoff at her when she covered her face. That’s easy enough isn’t it??

    [0]
  36. Why doesn’t everyone just go live in a bubble and no one go out in public. Take the cars off the street, euthanize all the smokers and perfume wearers. What’s wrong with everyone? Back in the day people just did their thing and there wasn’t all this complaining. Is it a certain generation of overly sensitive people or what is the deal? So sick of hearing about the lactose intolerant, glutten-free, nut allergy and smell allergies. Seems everyone is always complaining and butt hurt over something anymore
