If this is referring to buying in demand toys and tripling the price… that’s not capitalist that’s creating a monopoly. People eliminating access to those toys at thier intended retail price for your own greedy gain. And in some cases a monopoly is illegal.

A monopoly is a single seller….so these toys being sold on Amazon, Wal Mart, Toyr R Us, Facebook Buy/Sells, Kijiji, eBay, etc……that constitutes a MONOPOLY right?

    • Jo Sandra Jo Sandra says:

Those stores are not increasing the price by triple and cleaning out every other business to limit the market. I’m sure if a retail store here decided to buy out all the Fingerlings in town and sell them at triple price they would be investigated for thier business practices.

kijii … eBay etc would be single sellers. It’s just a shady immoral thing to do thats all I’m saying and people have a right to be mad when they hunt everywhere advertising a reasonable retail priced item, find it sold out everywhere, and then see Facebook trolls have cleaned the shelves and tripled the price. I personally couldn’t care less I don’t buy most of that junk. I’m just being a cranky troll.

  8. Lol I remember watching the promo video for those useless finger toys almost a year ago and the creator said that they would be bigger than hatchimals Christmas of 2017 and I just laughed because I refused to believe that people would actually buy into that hype, considering how uninteresting these little things are.

Here I am…truly, truly shocked. If your kid gets 30 minutes of play time with these things I’d be surprised.

  9. The OP likely whines about scalpers limiting access to affordable concert tickets too. That’s exactly what this is, scalping toys rather than tickets.

Just because it is part of the incumbent system, doesn’t make it right, or even permissible. Whatever you’re referring to, capitalist gain is usually won over some shady Ass policy or principle that’s been normalized by the “Free Market” advocacy. From the comments, it sounds like someone might be scalping, and we all agree, including a good deal of free marketers, that scalping is predatory and an all around dick move. Pointing out that we live in a capitalist society doesn’t excuse unethical behaviour.

Enjoy being trash for the rest of your life.

  13. It’s not too late to buy into Bitcoin if you feel like you’ve missed out. Each coin is going to be worth $1-3 million each in a couple years. Want the next best thing, don’t waste time, take advantage of these times

  14. We do live in a capitalist society and that is the problem, we are being ruled by greed. Just because somebody objects to capitalism doesn’t mean they are jealous of the rich, maybe they chose not to be rich because they don’t want to be “one of those people”… maybe they are smart enough to be happy with less and don’t want to take more than their share.
